feels and sounds like maybe a boost leak somewhere. No codes showing up anywhere. Running at high rpm and low boost its ok but step on the gas and it starts stuttering again. I took a quick look at the hoses I could get to but didn't see anything obvious

Default Good news and bad news, John.

The good news is that you aren't alone: Mine does it too.

The bad news is that I haven't been able to figure out what the damn problem is.

Previously, it was a coilpack on the way out. Now that that's been replaced, I dunno what the deal is.

I think I'm going to check plugs next, but I also get no codes. :screwy:

I just ordered new packs and plugs and they're sitting in my garage... bad news, I really don't think that's what it is

Default If you've got access to a VAG com you can do a quick check to see if the MAF is dying...

I believe looking at block 32 shows you the adaptation numbers (I don't remember which one to log for g/s). Anyway my adaptation is at 0.0% and 0.6% pretty damn close to perfect so it's not the MAF. An itch at the back of my mind is saying cracked turbo housing but hopefully it'll be something obvious when I dig in tomorrow.

will the spring in the actuator fail with repeated high boost applications?

Quick Reply: lots of stuttering just as boost is starting to really hit...
