Eibach springs and Bilstien shocks lower about an inch and ride better than stock.

Default Agree! Eibach/Bilstein is a very well balanced combination

the car does ride better than stock... while controlling ride motion MUCH better at the same time.. gotta be the brilliant valving (I believe the industry term is "double digressive valving") in the Bilsteins. Many haven't seen Eibach's advertized 1.1 inch drop however. Most get more like 5/8 inch, again attributable to the Bilsteins, in this case their high pressure gas charge. It has the effect of a second spring, and raises the static ride height.
My car is down 1.25 in the front and 1.0 in the back, but only 5/8 was the spring shock combo. The rest is my own mods to the spring perches and suspension mounts.
If a drop of 1 inch or more is critical to success, consider using H&R/Bilstein or coil overs...

Default disagree! about the better ride than stock anyway...

harsher. no dobut about it. unless bilsteins are dramatically different than my koni sa's. also, better is subjective. i tend to agree, since better=racier most people want better=more comfortable.
