Default Lowering springs- shock combos

This has probably been beat to death but I'm not having much success in my searchs- need people's opinions on real life experiences with lowering spring and shock combinations for a 2001 TTR 225. I have 28000 miles on the car and want to lower it a little and get rid of the original shocks. I don't track the car- it is a daily driver which also gets used in the winter so I don't want it REAL low as it does have to go through snow now and then...thanks...

Default broken record here.......Eibach/Bilstein HD or Sport from Shox.com and ask for Daryll....

mention you want in on the audiworld TT Forum pricing. Lowest cost of others. Proven performance and lowers about an inch.

Default Eibach prokit w/ Bilstein sports here. Much improvement over oem & not too low !

I paid $799 @shox.com. Installed them myself. Lowered 7/8 of an inch. Lots here have this combo & are happy.I would say you feel very small bumps more then oem but the trade off is worth it(performance & handling). IMO

Default what if I just put some H&R springs on, w/ the OEM shox?

Default Many here think the oem shocks...how can I put this delicately?...Suck !!!

My oem shocks were shot after 11,500mi. It makes more sense to replace the shocks & keep the oem springs which are not that bad.You also risk having to do the suspension a second time if the oem shocks fail. IMO.

Default Me too....:-) Do 'em both, or at least get rid of the OEM shocks.

New Springs with the OEM shocks is a waste of time...
