Lucky Break or what?
OK folks here is an unfolding story. The TT has crossed over 240K THIS week. Two weeks ago I ran over a bump, heard a bang. No problem keep driving. The camber looked off on the drivers side rear though. Took it to the shop the other day...Broken rear spring. I had been drving on it for almost 1000 miles. Talk about lucky! Should be fixed today. Phew!

Re: Holy smokes, 240,000 miles?? Where the heck are you driving?
100-200 Miles a day. CT to NJ Mostly highway.
I have had some issues in the past. I need to put the list together and let everyone know. The most major was a timing belt. We will see if the reimbursement settlement corrects that injustice!

158K+. Still need to fix the steering angle sensor that the alignment shop botched.
Going to try to remove it this weekend -- mostly to confirm the part number before ordering a new one. First going to try to clean the contacts to see if that does anything but I doubt it.
Other than that, it has been running fine -- knock on wood. Starts right up, uses no oil ever, still boosts 18-20 psi and gets the same gas mileage as always. Although my wife and I now work for the same company (completely different departments of course) and we usually take her car into work so truthfully I don't drive it nearly as much as I used to. Trying to keep the miles (and repair costs) down.
Sneaking up on a full 40K service interval though -- all fluids, all filters, spark plugs, brake fluid flush, etc.
