Default That was a story in Wired magazine a month or two ago about that salvage and

about the profession of the salvage diver. unfortunately they had a man die on that job. very interesting stuff though.<ul><li><a href="http://www.wired.com/science/discoveries/magazine/16-03/ff_seacowboys">wired article</a></li></ul>

I'd think they could salvage a lot of value out of them. Wheels, CD players, etc.

Default At Honda we did something similar..>>

Back in the 80's when they banned the sale of ATV 3 wheelers... It is expensive to try to reclaim parts. basically we pulled the wheels/tires and crushed the rest (thousands of em)

Default Another funny story that relates...>

Since they mention cutting wheels and drilling tires..

At our NJ warehouse we had Hundreds of Non-current, out of date helmets we wanted to dispose of...We cut the straps off and drilled holes in them.. That should have been enough of a deterrent, right?

Nope...Someone at the dump corraled a pile of these and started selling them at the local flea market. We found out when someone wandered into a dealership wanting to by a chin strap, Doh! Cue the lawyers!
