Default Mike = 0, Lincoln Tunnel Helix Barrier = 0, Quattro, ESP and ABS = 1..... fun wet commute!

Yep - my post the other day about swapping out my totally worn Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S's went onto this forum and out with the bath water last weekend. I was seemingly too busy to tackle that chore and would get around to it the next nice day. Maybe tomorrow. Well, Monday is good. Ah, Wednesday is better..... etc. Fast forward to today - as I knew they were shot, I was taking it more easy than normal in the wet (but not nasty) rainy conditions on my ultra AM commute. Giving it a little less than the usual blast out of the Turnpike toll onto Rt 3 I had my first almost total loss of traction where the car went sideways a bit as if you were heavy on the gas in the snow for fun.... got me to crack a smile and realize it was overdue for my tire swap so I had better take it easy the rest of the glide in to work. About a mile later, on the actual helix entrance to the Lincoln, the car just decided it was high time to teach Mikey that the laws of physics were in full effect. Yikes! I was certain the concrete barrier and I were about to become fast friends as I was in the far left lane and the car had broken loose moreso than I have ever experienced (besides a full on spin).... that's when all the electronic car nannies stepped in and I tried to correct to get out of it.... LUCKILY, the car pulled my dumb *** out of another flatbed experience and no damage was done..... and yes, 1st thing I did whe I got home today was put my 18s with almost new tires back on the TT. Sorry for the fuzzy shot - (but hey the pool looks in focus!) but as you can see I went beyond the expected usefulness of the tread I'd say as the right side of that tire is worn almost all the way down - how odd.... LiTTespeed's public service reminder - if your car feels a wee bit squirelly in the rain or you've experienced 1/100th of what I just posted, get yourself new tires before worse happens to you and your TT!

Default Personally, I didn't care for them much.

They're absolutely adequate, but they don't do anything particularly well.

For some people, that makes for an awesome tire, so you might be incredibly happy. ;-)

Thanks, it sounds like they'll be good for me because my TT is my everyday driver.

Default this is my 2nd set of them. I think they perform well and I used them as my winter set-

up last season and they got me through a 120 mile round trip commute. That said, I haven't tried a true dedicated summer tire to see if there is a major performance benefit or not.... but I like 'em. Got good mileage out of them too. Now that I have a true snow set as well, I'll probably opt for a more dedicated summer tire in the future over the M&S'...
