we would like to give them a camcorder... looking for something in the $500 - $750 range. Can someone give me a quick education? Key elements appear to be (1) pixels (2) -x optical & (3) -x zoom. What should I be looking for and how important is it that the cam be able to take stills.... seems to me if one wants still they buy a still camera? If anyone can rec. a specific camera that too would be appreciated.
