Minor Damage, Major Repair

I parked my car in the garage at work (Im in the Coast Guard) since it was cold out side (-45ºF). Since Audi doesnt have an engine block heater and I cant find anyone to install a battery blanket because its located in the trunk, my only defense is an oils sump heater.
My boss needed to use the snow machine (thats what they call snow mobiles up here in Alaska) that is stored in the same garage. He asked if I could move my car forward about four feet. After I moved my car forward, I got out and went around to where he would be passing my car with the snow machine and obviously there was no damage.
20 minutes later hes in my office saying that he hit my car. Ive had this happen to me before where someone would tell me something like someone hit your car or how did you get that dent on the side so I thought he was joking. Well I always end up looking anyway, just with out the panicked look on my face. This time I saw some damage when I came around the same corner of my car that I checked out earlier. I turned towards him and said I thought you were kidding.
He said that when he was bringing the snow machine back in he slipped because the snow on his boots were melting. This made the freshly painted floor of the garage very slippery. The thing is, he was standing beside the snow machine when this happed while his hand was still on the throttle. This caused the snow machine to hit the back of my car and glide off to the right.
It didnt damage anything major but I figured get me an entire new bumper. I only opted for a replacement because since it was on CG property, on CG time and a CG member did it, the CG will be paying for it. Thats good because it cost me $1014.00 to get it fixed.
I dont know why the photo came out small but click on my account number and you can see that photo and the rest of them at normal size as well.

Yes, Morrison Auto Group.
They are pretty good too. Sadly there is no Audi or VW dealership on the island of Kodiak providing thats probably were you will be stationed correct?. There is also an online community as well at akeuro.com.

http://www.morrisonautogroup.com</a
