Mk2 help please

Hello,I have problem When I try to turn my car on the dashboard lights are completely off and there is no power to any gauges but the radio and lights work normally the car starts for 2 seconds and then immediately turns off do you have a suggestion of what the problem might be? A friend suggest to get the cluster dashboard replaced but I’m not keen on spending money if it can be solved easily. Thank you very much

You might get better advice on the Mk 2 board. This is the Mk 1 board. First guess is check the immobilizer and dash fuse.
