Default My Car Loves Colorado!!>>>

Well, I guess so do I. Finally got to do some driving around some of my old haunts that I used to do on my motorcycle (in my younger, wilder days). What a blast!! And in spite of the ups and downs, I was averaging 34 mpg. Must be less wind resistance or richer mixture, or both. Anyway, my wife and I had a great time. One day we got caught up in a classic car rally. We weren't in any hurry so got passed by lots of old Ferraris, Cobras, Mercedes Gull-wing, etc. I know they had as much fun as we did. And the aspens were great!!

We live in Iowa and the mountain driving must have cleaned out some carbon because we still got 29-30 mpg on the return trip. Even with the AC on for most of the ride. Probably would have been better if we had the AC off but its so noisy with all the trucks on I80 that we decided to roll up the windows.

I thought Adam and Jamie proved that having the a/c going full blast only does like a 1/10 of a gallon difference over having windows up with no a/c and the real hinderer on mpg is wondows down...maybe I'm imagining that stat.

Default mileage

Yes, thats what they say. Not been my experience. I think about 1-2 mpg difference. Even with windows up. You can tell the difference even from a dead start. Requires more gas with the AC on. But I'm not chipped or upgraded exhaust. Maybe makes a difference.

Default Mine did too. Have to do that again someday.

Noticed the same thing about gas mileage. Got 31-33 mpg while above 10000 ft. I guess that's why airplanes fly high.
