Default My (long) list of warrantee repairs to my TT ...

While organizing my apartment this weekend, I went through my service records for the TT. The following is my list of "problems" that I have had with my TT. Note that all but one of these (the starter motor) were really minor (other than aggravation). Still, it makes me wonder whether I really want to absorb the out-of-warrantee repair cost for this car. Comments welcome.

At 5K service:

1) Driver's side seat heater won't return to set temp and must be cycled - not repaired, part on special order.

2) Beeping in between tracks on CD player - could not duplicate problem (I gave up on this one as not worth the trouble).

At 10K service:

1) (again) Driver's side seat heater won't return to set temp and must be cycled (see above) - this time they claimed they could not duplicate problem (I gave up on this one too, because by now the passenger side was doing the same thing and I figured as long as they work the same way...)

3) Intermittently, car will not turn over - fixed by replacing starter motor.

In between 10&15K service:

4) Washer fluid leak from front of car - fixed by replacing driver's side "alien."

At 15K service:

5) Knocking noise underneath car at slow speeds - fixed by "tightening everything up"

6) Replaced failing DV with H-series model

At 20K service:

7) Driver's side windshield washer jet clogged - fixed

8) Driver's side view mirror loose - fixed by replacing mirror glass

At 25K service: no problems!

At 30K service:

9) Driver's side windshield washer jet clogged (again) - fixed

10) Coolant warning comes on at cold start - topped off coolant, checked for leaks (none found); fixed problem (fix lasted about 2 months, see below)

At 35K service:

11) Passenger side windshield washer jet clogged - fixed

10) (again) Coolant warning comes on at cold start - topped off coolant, checked for leaks (none found); fixed problem (fix lasted this time only 1 month, so it looks like I'll be revisiting this at 40K).

Default sounds like you are a complainer to me . . .

What do you expect from a $38,000 car?

Will you be sleeping your car this Labor Day weekend?

Hey, Lar, you're right. What's the problem? Better than yours, anyway!

Maybe you should change windshield wiper fluid. No clogs here.

Default Heh, using the fluid the dealer puts in.

Maybe I should ask them if they are using Audi-approved fluid. Then again, maybe they'll say "no" and then void my warrantee
