Default My previous and current rides: Karmann Ghia and TT - Side view

The pictures were taken in November '99.

I have driven my '71 VW Karmann Ghia for five years: '94-'99. It's now owned by a friend and hopefully I'll drive it again in Thanksgiving.

Default A pic I took yesterday of my 58 Karmann Ghia and my TTQC both driven as often as possible

The original pre-60 Ghia's had the more rounded shape while very different cars both attract a lot of attention. The are really only brothers in spirit. I know VW really wanted the TT badly when it was first designed to be a sort of Karmann Ghia retro replacement, of course Audi won that battle.
My Ghia is supercharged but still only pumps out about 50hp so it a boulevard cruiser and the TT is a backroads burner, the best of both worlds.
