Default n00b question: recommendations on short throw

what is the forum's general recommendation for a solid short throw setup for a 2005 225 that is fairly low risk to my gearbox/warranty? also: i'm not looking to race this thing-- I just want a better feel than I am getting. something more 997S than my wife's new beetle.

I am still wary of cracking into this car myself just yet (I just got it a month ago and also have no workspace anymore), so it will likely be professionally installed. any thoughts?

thanks in advance

Default I have 2 shortshift kits .....

I have the B&M which shortens the throw at the stick (which is what I think you want) and then I also have the ECS adjustable that shortens the throw at the linkage, both together might be a bit much for you, but the B&M sounds perfect for your TT - Good Luck!

3rd, and it's an EASY install - do it yourself, blindfolded ;-)

4th, not sure about blindfolded, but an easy 30 minute install.

Default Dieselgeek plus a Raffi ****

Dieselgeek shortens the throws pretty nicely, both front-to-back and side-to-side, tightens up the feel and is an easy install. Then throw one of Raffi's ***** on there and depending on which one you get it will lower the shifter height about an inch and also adds a useful amount of weight to the ****, and they're really very high quality parts.

http://autoaesthetics.com/AA_V1.0/pages/04-shift-*****/tt-models/tt-models-page-1.html</a
