can you do that? i mean, name the tuner just by looking at the ECU?

They're usually labeled or stickered...This one is a mystery.

Default Search reveals...

That some of the previous chip versions utilized an AMD expansion chip. That little "sqare/triangle" design is AMD's logo.

I'd search for "amd chip" prior to 2005...it should give you some possible answers but my guess is that the only thing you'll find is that it was installed as a generic memory expansion unit to accommodate a flash.

Not sure who the programmer is...

and Giac, and MTM, and APR, and AMDTechnik...
