Default in need of part number for the "green" sensor...>

"sigh"... so I call St. Catharines vw/audi today, to ask for a new sensor so my temp guage will stay "proper", the guy told me he needs the part number or he has to charge me in the shop to take the part out to find the part number.. ugh!

Can anyone tell me what the part number is, and I assume it is pretty easy to change?

TIA

For the record, my bmw dealership did not have these issues...

Default i have one just sitting in my garage >>>

if it's the coolant temp sensor with "O" ring, you can have mine for $5.00 + whatever $$$ it takes to ship it to you.

i needed the square blue one as my TT is an early build 2000.

even if you don't want it, i'll try to get off my lazy **** and go get the PN for ya.

Default I'm holding one in my hand...>>

Sender: 059 919 501A

Get a clip too: 032 121 142

Also an O ring, but don't have the # for that...

Should be less than $10 ($1,256 canadian)....:-)

Tell your rocket scientist parts guy that they're ALL the same except early build 2000 models. He oughta know all this.

Default Unplug the harness...>

Pull the clip, pop out (be sure you get the O ring), quickly pop new one in and re-clip. You'll only lose a little fluid if you do it fast!!
