Default Plug and play...sorta

It is easy to disconnect the wires but you will also have to relocate the latch to the new door and getting it all lined up would take some work. Are you planning to install the replacement door yourself?

Default meh, crossed my mind..

but i think I'll pay a pro :-) insurance afterall...seems like the pieces attached tothe car are ok, just one hinge on the door (the stopper that prevents the door from going too far forward) was damaged...window, mirror and speaker all work fine..

Default You would learn a lot about the guts of your door but it may not be worth the time

I've had my doors in bits (chasing down a rattle) but I never took the doors off the car. Getting the hinge lined up and the striker in excatly the right spot would take quite a bit of effort.

How did you not shave your door handles?

Default You can't race without door handles.

And I don't care for the look. ;-)

Default maybe he wants to use it on a track

usually you cant not have door handles if you wanna use it on a drag strip or track in case something happens
plus it is pretty expensive
