Default New Beetle out, S3 or TT180FW in. THE VERDICT...

A few days agoo a posted a message asking for your opinions on choosing between S3 and TT180FW (coupe). Well, I turned out that it wasn't my (final) decission after all...

The company (chief) decided that the TT looks way cooler (than S3) and therefore would better fit the image of the company. I guess he is right about the image thing, but no Quattro and racing against Porsche Boxster for me...

Anyway, I am sure I will be very happy with the chiefs choice. The specs of my TT (due to arrive in the 3th or 4th week of January):
-TT coupe 180hp FW-drive
-Brilliant black
-Volcane leather
-17 inch 6 spoke alloy wheels (225/45 R17)
-Bose Concert sound system
-Onboard computer
-Heated seats, automatic climate control, ...

For those of you still reading, I have to questions:
-breaking in periode: what should I do and what not?
-armrest: I couldn't get a central armest from Audi, do any of you know I can get one from another manufacturer that will fit in a TT?

Default Drive it as you would any other car-probably stay away from prolonged cruise driving thought

Also here the source for the armrests

http://www.stratmosphere.com</a

Manual says drive softly and do not reach red line never. Also avoid hard breaking for 1500 km.
Otherwise drive as usual. Also it is a fact that not to drive at constant speed.(As You know already from other cars ) Actually there is no break in but it is reasonable to drive softer at the first 1500. BTW. I have the same color and
FWD TTC like your order.Best choice!. I am sure it is very hard to count every day until 3rd or 4rd week of Jan. !! :-) BesTT to you.

Peter, I forgot to mention one more thing. I have also AUDI A3 1.8 T. And I had an arm rest for it. But I could never used it in city traffic .Because it is impossible to change gears.Armrest hits your elbow and also if you want to put something to backseat it is very hard to turn and reach to back. But I do not know the armrest position in TT.You better try first if possible. Levent

Default Stratmosphere question...

Thanks for the info... The armrest in my New Beetle is very good, you can even use it to store stuff. I always put my mobile, gum and other stuff in there.

You can also change its position from vertical to horizontal in several steps. Does anyone know if you can do this with the Stratmosphere armrest?
