New mantra...
I'm sorry to have to announce the "Audiworld.com vs. O2BNME" chapter of the forum has just been closed. I guess I can't string you guys along any more. It has been so much fun though!!
Yup... the MTM is installed. :-) I ordered it last week. I think it isn't completely in its slot, but it's in enough and not loose at all. With more light, I'll attempt to get it in better.
...it is in enough that I could take the car for a spin! :-)
So, I guess the game ends. I've enjoyed it.
As for how this thing performs... about as I expected: WOW. Totally different sound when over 4,000 RPMs. You can hear the rushing air through the exhaust...much more power...much more.

The grasshopper has landed!!
I took it for a quick 6-mile spin to see what it would feel like. I filled up the tank and ran back home. Then I took Alex down the street 2 miles to karate class (yeah, watch out people! She's going to fend off OcTTober's jabs.). On the way back I punched it again. The ECU is already settling in very well.
The acceleration in 2nd gear is unbelievable. The exhaust sounds completely different now. The amount of air rushing through it sounds like much more.
Dyno Day will be more interesting now huh? I definitely wasn't going to go chipless for dyno day.
So, MichaelTT, we getting together tomorrow? ;-) I want to make sure I get the chip seated correctly (it isn't now). Also, I have this black forge thingy still to get installed. :-D
