I'm just about to take my A4 1.8T in for its 5,000 mile service. I live in MD and have called a couple of local dealers with respect to type of oil and weight. My concern is that I get a different answer from every dealer. Some say synthetiv is fine, others say it's not. Some say 15W40, others 5W30, etc. Does Audi not have ONE answer for a given geographic region? Is there one correct answer? What is it? My gut says go with Amsoil 10W40 at 5,000. Thoughts?
