Default Newbie, first question!!

What's up TT Crowd! I love this car. The TT is one of the nicest rides ever created. I have my eye on 2 silver TT's in my area. Both have less than 40,000 miles and be can be Audi Assured by the Audi dealer. One is a 180 quattro and the other is the 225 quattro. The 180 HP is going for $24,900 including the Audi Assured warranty and appearance reconditioning program. It is a 2000 model year. The 225 quattro is at 2001 and is going for $29,950. Are these fair prices? I really want the 225 quattro but don't want to pay more than $26K including the Audi Assured program.

Finally, I have heard various sources say that the TT has paint issues. Then low and behold I come to this forum and see that many of you talk about swirl marks, expensive waxes and stuff. Do they have problems with their paint, or are you all just detail freaks like myself? : )

Thanks,

Eric in NC

Default I got my 2000 for a little less.

Mine had 34K and came with all the usual premium extras +100K warranty (looked like a new car)..if you can get it for that price out the door including tax and licencse you would pay what I did...it comes out to about 22.6 before T&L. I also got them to throw in free service to 50K. I am very happy with mine, the power and accelaration with even the stock 180 feels just fine...cannot imagine what a Stage 3 upgrade would feel like on this ride. The extra trunk space in the 180 was one of the deciding factors + I live in So Cal so AWD is not as big an advantage as it is in other states with actual winter seasons.
