here is the question:

How can you tell that a TT is the 225 by looking at the car?

I ask because it was my understanding that if it had the Dual exhaust that meant it was the 225 that only come with a 6speed manual.

I was at the carmax website and they had a Tt listed with a 6speed manual. so i go to check it out and it has the dual exhaust but when i get in the car it shows a 5 speed shift ****. Well I thought that was wierd so i start shifting through the gears...guess what...it had a 6th gear. so i'm guessing it just has the wrong shift **** (it is an audi one though).

I'm positive it was a 6speed (all my cars in the last 10 years have been manuals).

I ran across another car on autotrader with a similar problem....the photos of the car show dual exhaust and the spec sheet on autotrader list it as having a 6speed manual, but the photos of the interior show a 5speed manual. so i call them up and ask the guy to physically go look at the car and tell if it says 5 speed or 6 speed. He tells me the **** says 5 speed.

So is there any other way to verify that it's a 225 other than dual exhaust and 6 speed manual? The motors looks the same cosmetically....

VIN #? ECU #?

may last 2 cars were a modded turbo eclipse and i'm selling my modded SRT tomorrow....can't stay away from turbos..225 is slower but damn it's nice.

Mesh on lower grille is blocked off on the driver side of 180's. No intercooler on that side.

modified to have two. I believe the 180 does not come with the 6 speed, the 225 does.
