Default Noob to the TT forum ;)-- Thinking of selling my A4 Avant for a TT.....

Several years on AW and I've never posted here, oh well better late then never right?

I have been toying with many ideas from a stage 3 big turbo for the Avant to importing a A4 TDI Quattro (or trying anyway) now thinking of a 225 6 speed TT coupe. Just need some sort of change.

My big question is how much room is there in the back with the seats down? Going from an Avant to a TT could be hard. My wife and I have no kids around, but do have two 70 lb Black Labs. We are minimal packers for trips but how would the dogs do? Our other car is a Mini Cooper S six speed (wife's car) so that doesn't help as far as long distance...

Thanks in advance for the input.

that would be an extremely tight ride, unless you just pack underwear...

Default You'll love the room in the TT coupe . . .

this was posted earlier today:

If you keep the seats down in the back there will plenty of room for the dogs. You might consider taking the seats out altogether.

Just do it - you'll love the TT.

Default My wife doesn't wear underwear.

Kidding, a man can wish right? ;-0

We do pack light, but I think the only way to solve this question is to find someone with one, go to the dealer and check it out.

Unless someone has a shot of a big dog in the thing...

Default Hummm, the thing is all that would fit in my Avant without blocking the window or flipping seats...

Maybe the seats would have to go down, but not if I wanted to block the windows.

There is a HUGE difference in room, it's just whether or not it's still enough in the TT. I have always had plenty of room in the Avant and never even use the racks.

I hear you on the dreams. Two 70# labs take pretty big room.

Default There is more room thatn you'dthink in a TT, but....

it's not an Avant. Totally different cars. TT isn't really made for room. And I'm sure you could get your dogs in there...but I have doubts that they'd actually be comfortable! hehe Maybe teach one of them to drive, then you can throw the back seats down and nap in the back?
