...but what about Asheville NC for next years' massive TT event? Take a look at the link below for the area maps, looks awesome! Looks like a lot of other bike and car groups meet there too.
Whaddya folks think? Should we add an "Audi TT National Event" meet for next spring?

http://www.tailofthedragon.com/maps.html

Considering the majority of the people attending an East Coast event are coming from the New England
area doesn't it make sense to host it a little closer to home?
I'm not trying to exclude anyone, The West Coast and East Coast events are going to stay that way because of the distance. Sure there are those like Brad that will fly etc. But doesn't it make more sense to host the event where 75% of those attending are coming from? For the East coast it seems like the MD, NJ, NY, CT, MA areas have the majority of owners.
Attendance will be lower if you try to pick a location that is in the middle of the east and west coast or is just plain far away.
I might be in the dark here, but it seems to me there are more owners on the forum that are in the areas that I mentioned above than the total of owners in FL, GA, AL, NC, SC, MO, AK etc. I know of one or two people from those places.
Just my thoughts on building these events to the majority of people attending. It doesn't make sense for 5 people to drive 1 hour and 30 to drive 10+ hours which is what I think St. Louis or Asheville would be.

Like I said, I wasn't saying anything against any TT owner from other areas, just pointing out a fact
about the majority of East Coast owners being located in the Northern part of country. Again this is just something that I think deserves consideration. Less distance means more people show up, less time spent driving or time taken off work, less chance for accidents, speeding tickets etc.

I'm sure not gonna drive 3K miles... but I might fly...
Jenner has a good point. Sad truth is, these events are not "North American" but are an East, West, Central, Northeast etc. gathering. The US (well, North America really) is just so large that there is no way we can all go. Really kind of a bummer.
