Default Nuge - 'Lil iPod help?

I can't get my MOV files on to my iPod?! They show up in the library, but when I try to copy it to the iPod, it says it is not compatible... Any idea what I need to do?

Default I've been trying to figure that out the last couple days

I thought it was on my iPod but I went to play it yesterday and I couldn't find it.

And right now on my computer I have a decker_canyon.MOV file and a decker_canyon.m4v file. I'm not sure where that second one came from as I have no memory of using any sort of converter on your original video. Perhaps a previous version of iTunes did it automatically?

I'm not familiar with .m4v files either, but I'm going to do a little research now.

Default Ahh, within iTunes there is a "Convert selection for iPod" option when you right-click the file

Trying that now although I don't recall that previously.

Default Mine are converting now. I thought you said they were able to go directly, but guess

that's not the case? My phone records in .M4V natively... Plays in QuickTime.

Default I don't remember converting and the Latigo one wasn't that long ago

I don't remember drinking when I did it either.... maybe I got a memory problem and/or a drinking problem. Either way it still has me confused.

iTunes uses.m4v for all their movie/TV files. Change the extension to .mp4 - is OK

Default So, it's been "translating" for 2 hours, and all I had to do was rename?! I imagine the converted

files are at least smaller, right?!

Yup, they are about 1/3 size... Not sure it matters that much, though.

So .mov is different from .m4v but .m4v and .mp4 are the same?
