Default My expert lawnkeeping advice...

Don't buy a house until you can afford to pay someone to take care of it for you.

This especially applies to the lawn.

I owned a house once, and it was fun taking care of the property for the 1st month then :-p

The next home I have will have a maintenence fee, and my father will keep all the lawn equipment that I gave him when I sold my house!

Default Dood I'm serious. Wife is always bugging me about the blank patches in the lawn...

which can't have anything to do with the HUGE FRICKIN OAK TREE that originates in our yard and covers the entire cul-de-sac!

Default Sean, yes I think Scotts has good products, and it does take time.

You should go to Scotts web page has alot of good info re: lawn care. Search Lawn/Turf care and you will find more than you wanted to know about grass!
Crabgrass is an annual that you have to treat early in the season before the seeds sprout. The only thing you can/should do is pull them out by hand (sorry). Go to Scotts web site, there is much to learn there.

http://www.scotts.com/lawncare/lawncare.cfm</a

Default I was thinking more of plush green indoor/outdoor carpeting. ;-)

With the Lyme disease threat out in this neck of the woods, green asphalt might be a better choice..... :-(
