Default O2 Sensor Pricing?

I have an 01 225 coupe and I have been searching the forums and keep reading posts on cheap VW o2 sensors (part # 06A906262Q) all the places where people list that they got these for $20 now sell them for around $80.
can you still find them at anything even close to this price? how can the price of something increase 4x in just a few months!

is the VW part a better alternative than a universal one where you splice the ends on?

thanks

Default Not sure if anyone has tried that...>>>

in theory if it is for a 1.8t, it may work. The issue i would have is that as sensitive as the TT is to voltage changes it may cause more havoc then anything...only further research and trial by fire would help.
