Default Odd electrical issues

I recently did some work on my Audi TT Quattro, replaced the radiator and an inter cooler hose. The vehicle ran when it was parked and put on the jack to be worked on. Worked on it between doing a few things on my other cars, so it sat for about a month. After I installed the new parts, went to go start it, and it blew the alternator fuse, which is 150 amps. The starter would not engage, it just spins free, and as soon as the battery is connected, the radiator fans kick on, the wipers turn on by themselves, as do the lights. None of the interior lights or gauges work. Has anyone else had to deal with something like that? If so, any fixes for it? Could it be ECU/ECM related in conjunction with and bad alternator connection? Any help would be greatly appreciated, I need to get this car back on the road as soon as possible.

Sounds like a massive ground fault.
