Default OK Zaino peeps, I have a few questions...

Yesterday afternoon I unpacked my newly acquired Zaino products and began to read the directions. Whew! Such a long list of things to do.

Here's what I've done so far:
Dawn wash --> Clay --> Z5 --> Remove --> Z6

First, the Z5 comes off way more easily than any other polish I have EVER used, and I've tried a lot of them. Nice attribute!

However, I noticed that Z2 is also a polish, and I have that one too. Should I place a few coats of Z2? Or, just use the Z5? I do not own any other "Z" products, just those mentioned. Would like to put on a few coats of polish, but don't know which one.

Finally, should I be using a tiny bit of Z6 on my polish applicator rag when applying either of the polishes?

The shines looks killer so far, but with Black, you can never have enough. Advice please!

TIA!

Default Glenn, z2 is a show polish, z5 is a swirl mark remover. Usually

do a z2 then a z5 then a z6. No z6 on the applicator with the other polishes. Doug

Default Here is what I do......

1. Follow the Zaino instructions (jk)

About once a month I do a wax on wax off (Daniel Son) and then in-between I do a wash, Z16 (or Mothers same) and then I'm done. I think Z16 is the "quick detail" stuff.

When I am "Zain'ng" I do....

1. Wash
2. Dry
3. Z1
4. Z2 (over the Z1)
5. remove (orbital)
6. Smoke and admire (lol)

Same on wheels

I use applicator pads for EACH polish and then remove with the buffer

That reminds me, need to get some more Zaino - excellent value as I've only spent about $40 on in-between Mothers stuff and I had my Zaino (2 of everything) since March 2001 and I've still got some stuff left. Only ran out of the Zaino wash last weekend.

Default Close but you got the order a little wrong....

1. Smoke
2. Wash
3. Dry
4. Smoke
5. Z5 with ZFX
6. Z6
7. Z2 with ZFX
8. Z6
9. Smoke and admire

think I might wake and wash today.... lol

Default Step away from the Zaino.................

my god 7 steps? I'd get bored after 3 - wait - that's all I do :-)

Just don't see the benefit to doing my car in 7 steps - hope it's worth it and if you have any rotator cuff problems when your done - I know of a great orthopedic surgeon. :-D

Default Use Z5 until you no longer see any swirl marks....

Z6 between coats, then Z2 for the last coat.

BTW, are you using Z1 or ZFX before the Z5? You need one or the other.

Default I didn't buy the Z1... upon recommendation from someone here...

And that was the problem when I went to read all 17 pages of directons on how to apply the line of products. Z1 was ALWAY's in the line-up.

I'll make do without it - for now.
