Default Omnipresence and Cable Modems (Kind of Off Topic)

Some of you may have noticed that I seem to be online quite often. Well, in fact I am online 24 hours a day. You see I have a cable modem, which requires to telephone line, no logon/logoff etc. I can download a file that would take 2-3 hours over a 56k modem in less than 2 minutes. Audio and video quality are outstanding due to the very high bandwidth. I pay a little over $40 per month, but to me it is worth the extra expense due to the increased speed and bandwidth, and not having to tie up my phone line, or order an extra phone line. I have AOL at work, and believe me, the difference is like night and day. If you have an opportunity to try a cable modem, I would highly recommend it.

Gee, when you sign up for LoJack you get
free insurance and a cable modem? Is this
a commercial website now? "My name is Brad,
and I'm not a salesman, but I play one on the
Internet!" Let's talk TT's.

Default Re: "F'" James D and more...

You know, I try pretty hard to obtain and share information which I think might be of interest to the group. Many of you are pretty decent, but more and more I'm subjected to idiots like James D giving me a hard time. Pardon the profanity (no apoligies to him though, the message is hopefully clear and conveyed in a way that no asterisk can), but I didn't know how to say it any other way. My TT's 1-3 weeks away, and I'm getting a bit tired of some of these idiots.

Default Take a deep breath and count . . . 1. . .2. . .

Brad, you're right. . . you do have much info to share with us and for the most part it is appreciated. If I find a post (by anyone) that is not particularly interesting, I just stop reading and go on to the next message. I certainly would not waste my time picking a fight with the author, a la James D.
Loosing your cool, like in your second response, and possibly running the risk of being banned from this forum does none of us any good.

I'm sure you're right. I've been home sick as a dog for 4 days and have been uncharacteristically grouchy. I'll do my best to ignore any provocateurs.
