An opinion offered to those interested, and opinions wanted from my TT sisters and brothers...
Being a charter member of the dubiously exclusive, "2-TT's-in-less-than-a-year-even-though-I-didn't-necessarily-want-it-that-way"
Club, I am now in an interesting position to contrast a pre- and post-esp TT, as my new one is esp equipped. I took delivery of the car the day before I left for vacation, so the new car has only 65 miles on it. I think my opinions would be more valid with more esp-miles under my belt as well as once the new car is broken in. I'll post when I get around 5-700 miles on the new car.
Now for the opinions wanted: While my old car was being totaled, and my new car yet to arrive, my Bailey DV arrived. My question is: when should I install the Bailey valve?
Should I wait until the OEM DV fails? Because for the moment it's working fine - no honk so far. In other words, is there any performance benefit to going with the Bailey versus the OEM DV? Or is the Bailey a fix alone? Some posts I have read have mentioned a subjective feeling of increased power or at the least more seamless delivery of it. But these posts have been all (I believe) by people whose OEM DV failed, thus experiencing already compromosed performance.
Has anyone out there installed a Bailey DV while their OEM valve was still functioning properly? If so, I'd like to hear from you.
This weekend it gets its first full Zymol treatment, and I'll post the obligatory proud-new-owner pics. After having had a Lake Silver coupe, I'm looking forward to having a dark color again, since dark colors show off their depth of shine better. Bridgestone 730's will be on soon, as well as my new Wet Okole seat covers with Audi logo.

and i haven't noticed any peformance difference (of course, i've only been able to drive it about 40 miles since the switch -- too small a sample?).
