Default Opinions on Forge FMDVR diverter valve.

I am asking here as I know some here have purchased it. A retailer didnt want to sell it to me cause they feel that it isn't a quality product now so they are pulling it off their website. Any findings on this with 1.8T? I have a feeling this was on their S4s.

I really wanted to get this valve as it is a diaphragm and not piston. 2 reasons for that choice. On the A4, the valve is in a really inaccessible location for easy maintenance (oiling the piston). I also feel the diaphragm is faster and smoother on the dump.

Default I'm running one...

with zero problems. It has a very quick release similar to an atmospheric BOV. There are allot folks on this forum running them as well.

Default though they occasionally blow diaphragms, they've made a LOT of people very happy...

and i can't say that i've ever seen any significant problems with any products that forge has released in the US.

however, if and when you did blow a diaphragm, you'd still have to deal with digging out your DV to change it.

Default Thats what they are saying, it blows too often. Trying to get a feel of how often.

If it's nill to infrequent, then I don't mind.

BTW, which spring do you guys run?

Default Having both the DVR (diaphram) and 007 (piston) - I prefer the DVR

I've got a 007 and it does stick, even after lubing with Mobil 1 grease. My DVR has blown a dime size hole in it, put I replaced easily with another diaphram.

I like the ability to change spring rates on the DVR.

Why not relocate your DV to a more easily serviced location?
