Default Opinions on warming up engine? Good, bad...?

I heard due to VCT it is good to let it warm up by itself at idle...but I am not sure. I always warm it up myself by shifting at 3k and not flooring it.

Default nope...drive it slowly till it gets to normal operating temps...this way all fluids are

getting warmed up at the same time. idling doesn't warm up the engine any quicker.

Default I usually warm it up for a couple minutes in cold weather >>

then drive slow and with low rpms until it warms up completely.
