Default OT Apple and CPQ....

discussion a week ago centered on Apple weathering slowdown better than say Compaq. I mentioned CPQ not purely a retail boxmaker and now better prepared. After todays earnings release it was interesting to note the following audio report,

Another link also relevant about Comapaq's Alpha systems and who uses them,

Default Apple and Compaq...

are heavily invested in the consumer market, and therefore dependent upon it.

IBM is not.

I look for a resurgence in Apple over the next three quarters, based on the new titanium PowerBooks and whatever they've got up their sleeve to replace the iMac.

Default and the G4 Cube is the ultimate companion to the TT for the desktop

Although the iPaq's finish looks very tt-ish.
