OT... BAH Stoopid job search
I got a paper the sunday before last... saw a job for cashier/receptionist for a dealership that shall remain unamed. Pay was Salaried, DOE (averaged out to 10 an hour). Gives a ladies name who is in charge of hiring.
I go, fill out an application etc etc. Never hear back from them. So I call today and ask for the lady who was doing the hiring for this job. "Oh... no you need such and such instead" So I talk to a differnt lady and get told
"Cashier/receptionist? no we dont have any openings for those (then why advertise that you do!!) We do have an opening comming up for a file clerk though. Its part time and pays 6.00 an hour (geezz.... not gonna work). Come in monday and we'll have you do a drug test and some other tests we require."
hmmmmm.... False advertising for a job opening? or did they fill it and oops... forgot to call her for an interview... we'll just tell her there is no job opening for that department...

On a good note.... it looks like I'll probably end up working with a friend at an itnernet company taking tech complaints and other calls (whoooo fun) but it pays 9 to start with a bonus and raise at 3 months (because they cant keep anyone there the job sucks so bad lol)
sigh.... so should I go do the pee test monday anyways? Or maybe call friday or saturday and tell them I found a better offer?

pee test pee test pee test, but seriously i would hold out for...
a better offer, maybe the internet company can start you at 9.50, just a thought or keep searching, it also never hurts to cold-call company's that you might want to work for.

Have you thought about going into retail sales?
I have a friend that works at a shoe store at a mall and found out that she makes anywhere from $1000 to $1700 a week just in commision.
Just a thought.
