RTinNYC(again)

Just innocently sitting here eating crystallized ginger & orange peels dipped in Valrona dark chocolate, when I got an invite to join a friend's family along the Spanish and Portugese coasts and a few days specifically on Ibiza, for a total of two weeks in late Sept/early Oct. I would be a guest on their boat, so cost isn't much of an issue, the consideration is really all about time - optimal vacation day allocation theory (OVDAT) and all.

Anyone been there that time of year? I imagine its pretty darn quiet. Might be a nice change of pace. Definitely off season for German tourists. I've only been to this part of the Med. in the summer, it's a madhouse!!!

Is it worth the time / vacation days spent to go???

Vacation, my friend, using OVDAT (see above), should only occaissionally be interrupted by work!

Of course this was 11 years ago -- and Mallorca isn't quite the happening place that Ibiza is --but, FWIW, Mallorca was still pretty crowded. Seemed to be alot of Brits, so I had a blast.

I used to love crowds when I was in college. I would go to the family home in Nice every August. I can't stand it in August any more. I usually go in early summer of early fall nowadays.
