Default OT: Digital camera

Any recommendations? Im thinking about the Canon Elph S110 right now($400) so anything that's similar in price and features would be pretty good. TIA

Default Elph S100 works for me....think there's now a S300. There have been several discussions here....

on this topic, you could try searching the archives....but then again, perhaps not, since the technology changes so fast :-)

Default I bought a Kodak DC3400 based upon many replies on this forum

and I love it. All of the pics I posted from New Hope and Kiawah Island (plus sig pic) were taken with it.

Default Just bought the elph s300

The small form factor was the winner for me, I didn't get the s100 (s110 is being released now) because it had less optical zoom. I'll post pics somewhat soon (my trip to MI put bugs all over the car + rain = dirty, make that very dirty TT :P
Check out cnet.com for good prices & reviews.
FYI, my current boss bought the same camera (size was high on the list for him too).

Default Canon S110 may be best choice

I got the S300, and I like it. But the S110 may be the better choice, since it is SMALLER than the S300. From what I read on newsgroups, the S110 may have a 30s limit in movie mode (no such limit on the S300).

Default Yep, it is smaller, but less optical zoom

I wanted more zoom available, and optical is much better than digital zoom.
FYI, canon has detailed dimensions of both on their website.
