Default OT: Got accepted on my new home! Rates are looking real good too right now, pretty stoked

It is a new construction- but the frame is already there- so I got to pick out all my finishings, etc without having to wait the 6-9 months it takes in Wisconsin to build a house.

Best part is the 4 car garage (actually 3 bays, but one bay is double deep, and all the normal bays are 1 and 1/2 bays. Also with all very high ceilings it looks like a full lift is going to be completely feasible here in the very near future.

Which brings me to where to source a 2 post lift. Cost is the largest concern- looking for a weekend mechanic lift, just want something simple able to lift less then 6,000lbs. (Don't need anything commercial) Builder is installing a 220 outlet on the wall in the double deep section already for me, so power should not be an issue. Anyone have any sources for lifts that are very reasonably priced?
Also wondering about install difficulty- I know most require 4" concrete to bolt though. I have not done a ton of research yet, but i figured I would get my feet wet here- with those who know.

I'm sure I will have updated posts as I go along, just sharing and wanted to get some quick input on the lift side.

Okay, back to work!

Default Some pretty good prices here, especially if you can pick it up...

Default small problem since the slab's been poured >

ideally you at least have a thickened section - either a real footing or at least a pad (18" sq)to bolt in to. May not be a big deal on an intermittent basis but you can expect some settling and slab cracking. Most garage slabs are 3-1/2" thick. if it's 5-1/2 you can skate by (pardon the Wisconson joke). What will happen is the kwik-bolts to secure the lift will be longer than the slab is thick. Another option is to core-drill yourself a 12" or 18" diameter pier and tie it in to the slab (any slab leveling company can do that for you for about $300 - 500 per hole).

Default Thanks bud,,, actually the whole front bumper was the GT2, but has a VERY similar grille

to the caractere...

Which brings me to my next piece, as the whole front end of my car has been replaced- pics will be coming Spring, but there I used a real caractere grille- and love it. Thanks to Axe's pictures I decided it was the one for me.

You should absolutely get one!

Default It looks like we are running almost the exact setup- is that a 3.2 bumper?

I replaced my GT2 with a 3.2 with OSIR CF wings up front with the Caractere- so far I am THRILLED!
