Default please read... having some problems with boost

First off... 2000 TT 180 FWD. APR 93, Forge DV, Forge FMIC, TTDA airbox, Nuespeed cat-back

Car wasn't seeing potential.. only seeing peak boost at 16-ish psi. (autometer boost guage) I took the vac line from the DV and plugged it off. Then I took the vac line for the FPR and ran another T (same vac line the boost guage is tapped from) and tapped another vac line to run to the DV (thinking this would solve my boost problems). Car seems to run a little better, but I am only seeing 7-8 psi peaks and tapering to 4-5psi. Scanned with ProDiag and got no codes. Checked APR chip and it's it 93 octane mode. No visible problems with the vac lines.

Sounds like you're in soft limp mode. Odd that you've got no codes.

Default you have a SWEET TT! What would cause soft limp? I thought it may be soft limp, (more)

it's done soft limp before I swapped vac lines. When my S4 went into limp mode I got codes as to why it did it. I can't for the life of me figure out what is causing the TT to do it.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm................ *thinking*

Default You either have a vacuum leak...>>

or the ECU thinks there is a problem and shuts the boost down. Check MAF, coolant temp sensor, vacuum leaks, or a faulty MAP sensor. I found that after connecting the Boost Machine, the boost created too much heat and caused the MAP to signal overboost and the car went into limp mode. I finally had to remove the engine cover and no more problems. Boost peaks at 20 and stabilizes at 18 lbs.

Could be a MAF issue of some type. Could be a hose leak somewhere.

Default Thank you very much! Hmm... Could be the temp sensor. Have you tried that?

Granted, I don't think it's especially likely, but it *could* be it, I guess.

I'll check the MAF tonight and if that doesn't solve the problem I'll look more tomorrow .. thanks.
