sorry, i would like to revise that (new here to these forums - dont seem to see an edit button?).
its a bit harsh to say that the ES100s are "not autocross worthy" ... i felt a bit guilty reading my post after hitting the submit button
as they are one of my favorite tires
but, the point being, they are very nice and very high performance but not designed to extract absolute "maximum" performance.

I agree about $$/value. I have these on the 17's of the TT (as more of our rain autoX tire), but they provide good summer grip. Not the insane grip you'd get with their XS or even better the Toyo R1R or Bridestone R11, but those tires wouldn't last 15 to 20K miles.
