Found this in the news archive when the 3.2 was introduces. The seats have an alcantara/suede insert in the middle. I haven't seen this before, is it available in North America? special order? does anyone have it? more pics? thanks

Default It is a picture of an '04 TT. It can't be discontinued, probably just available in Europe.

I don't really know. Maybe the dealer would be a good place to inquire about this?

Default That's the alcantara/leather option, available in Europe for free instead of full leather.

Wears a lot though.

Seat surface looks more like alcantara than what the sport seats have.

Default Looks like it's perforated Alcantara. Theoretically avaialable on special...

...<font color="003366"> order in the U.S. But it's gonna be expensive beyond belief. The perf'd Alcantara is offered by Quattro GmbH and isn't one of the factory build combinations. So you're looking at a $900 interior/trim special order charge, plus the cost of the Q-GmbH interior retrim (gotta be on the far side of €3,000 at a minimum for round-perforated -- square-perforated is even MORE) plus another $900 special order fee for the Q-GmbH production deviation. I briefly entertained the though of getting square-perforated/black backed Silver Alcantara for the seats and door inserts of my next TT...

... but the $6500+ tab induced me rethink square-perf'd fake suede.

You <i>could</i> get regular (<i>i.e.</i> non-perforated Alcantara inserts form a German market base TT for the interior/trim special order charge plus something less than $1k for that actual seat material substitution.

Problem is you need a dealer that understands the ins and out of the special order system.

Here a link to some more stuff on <a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1016954.phtml">special orders</a>.</font>
