Default Plug Change

Any tricks to changing spark plugs? I'm concerned with removing the coil packs to get at the plugs...any issues?

Default I did mine a few weeks back with some help >>

Hans (TTinCT) helped me out and provided me with some tools. Overall, it's a fairly easy job. There was one coil pack that was a bit tricky to get out and then back in, but you'll find the right angle with it. Other than that, it's just unscrewing a few things and swapping out plugs. I don't trust myself with certain things like that, but this really wasn't bad at all. Take you time and you'll be fine...

aluminum heads don't like to be meesed up with when they are not cold. You don't want to strip a thread.

Default Re: Plug Change

It should take you like 30 mins. Just note everything you take off, be careful with the electrical connectors. The coil packs are "fragile" but were not talking fine china here, just pull carefully, they are pressure fit in with a rubber gasket. Oh, and yu'll need a long extension w. your socket cuz the plugs are like 4-6 inches down in the head.
