Default POLL: Pick Your (my) Six CDs (more)

(second try. early?)

Lets lighten things up a bit:

Ok, so hopefully I will be getting my car on Sat (yeah me) and I have been trying to come up with the first six CDs I want to listen to in the car. So, what better to do than ask the group.

If you could only have six CDs with you, in your car, what would they be?

List it like: (Artist) Album (Artist) Album(Artist)

(Bjork) Post
(Crystal Method) Vegas
(Moby) Play
(Garbage) v2.0
(Baxter) Baxter
Black/black 225QC ordered 5/9/2000

Default Re: POLL: Pick Your (my) Six CDs (more)

I already have it selected, for when my car arrives.

(Metallica) Ride The Lightning
(Stabbing Westward) Ungod
(Tool) Undertow
(Kill Hannah (local band)) Hummingbirds the size of Bullets
(Metallica) ...And Justice For All
(Stabbing Westward) Wither, Blister, Burn & Peel

So I'm a Stabbing Westward/Metallica nut.

Default 1st 6 CDs were...

Rite of Spring, Rachmaninov Piano Concerto #3, Bare Naked Ladies (Born on a Pirate Ship), Fleetwood Mac (The Dance - Lindsay Buckingham's 'Big Love' made even the Bose sound good!), Allman Brothers (Live at the Fillmore), a compilation of Motown tunes burned by a friend of mine.

Default OK, this is my pick for the leaving the lot

I've been debating this and wondering if I should really listen to this while leaving, because it would cause me to want to run through all six gears and violate all the break in rules...but anyway.

I've found that Joe Satriani - The Extremest, particularly Tracks 6 and 9 (Summer Song and Motorcycle Driver) are the abosulte most perfect jamming down the road songs on the planet.

If you remeber the Sony commercial that was run alot the summer of '93 or '94 you'll know what Summer Song sounds like.

I highly recommending finding an MP3 of it to listen to before htis weekend and you'll know what I mean.

Other than that, I'm still trying to decide what other 5 discs I'm going to use in July.
Tom Boucher
