Default is it possible to switch driver and passenger seats ?

my driver seat has developed a lovely "patina" over the 18 months i've owned my TT, but the passenger seat (which is rarely occupied) looks brand new. i'd like to swap the seats to get them to (eventually) look more equal.

has anyone done this ?

Default Ummm...

Wouldn't that put all the controls on the wrong side? (Among any technical issues with mounting them)

Default The in-seat airbags would deploy the wrong way. Sorry! You can...

...probably buy new covers from Audi. Don't know the cost, though.....

Default Well yes, Jenner did this... albeit temporarily while his seats were getting alcantara-rized. ;)

He had the passenger seat done first and temporarily used it as his drivers seat while his real drivers seat went under the knife for the alcantara insert.

And as Art pointed out, not recomended due to side air bags... I once had the same idea until I slapped myself on the forehead when I realized the air bag.

Wrong side? My driver's seat is on the right-hand (Right/Correct) side

Not only the air bag, but what about the lovely raising/lowering handle that some people use? : )

Default thanks for reminding me about the airbags. dammitt ! i guess i'm going to have to learn ...

... how to drive my car sitting on the passenger side. :-)

or else i have to take more people for rides (which means they have to fill out the 20 page "am i worthy of riding in sandy's TT" questionnaire).

maybe treating the passenger seat more with leather lotion will help speed up the patinization process.
