Default Power Loss at 6500 RPMs??

I am experiencing a sharp drop in power at about 6500 to 7000 RPMs. I happens right around the red line on my TACH. Is this typical, should I not be revving into that area? Is it a DV??

Please provide any advice that you may have.

Thanks,

Jason

does it feel like you are hitting the rev limiter? or does the car still rev without power?

Default It's totally normal!

No car will have power within a few hundred rpm of redline! Shift to a higher gear and the turbo will kick in again and you will again pull strong to 5,000+ rpm.

Are you stock or chipped? If stock the redline is 6,800rpm, if you are chipped the redline will be 7,100rpm or higher.

Hope that helps.

the car is stock. Is there a rev limiter? That may be what I am experiencing.
