Default PSA: Check yer gaps! I just replaced all my CoilPaks, because of a nagging missfire, no codes...

I checked my plugs, and all were out of gap-range.
I just put these in this spring, Denso IR-22's, and I KNOW they were gapped to .032.
All were off to at least .035 or more.

Can't expalin it.
Car runs great now, strong and firm, no misses.

Default I had mine at .030 when I installed the first set...>>

and after 29K they were near .040. No misfires though.

and aren't there some that run colder plugs with gaps to .028?

shed any light on this Jeff?

Default The gap will open up some over time...

I think the electrode will wear down from use, but I'm not sure what the tolerable range. But you are correct, they need to be checked!

Default

.032 is the recommended gap for those plugs, colder running, wif mods, chip, BM ****, etc.

Default That's one benefit of running copper plugs >>>

The change interval is small enough that i've never had them open up on me. Otherwise I would check them every 10-15k miles.
