Default Question re spacers???

As the spacers effectively increase the length of the axel/driveshaft, do they not also therefore increase the stress/strain on those members due to increase in bending moments?

I think it's mathematically insignificant.

Default Agree with Dave..unless you are planning 40mm spacers ;-) >>>

more important is staying within spec on wheel offset.

What should the offset be for the TT?

Default 40mm? that's nuthin'...

Supposedly the Weltmeister Turbo Star spacers (54mm) can handle > 7g cornering load! Good to know, if you want to convert your F-16 into a track car ;-P.

Default Spacers

Dear Downunder,

We put Oettinger spacers (8mm for each side) on the vehicle when we upgraded the suspension and tire/wheel combination. As you can see (attached picture) a conservative widening of the track can make a quite a difference. The increased strain is negligible.

Good luck,
WK
