Quicksilva...can you post specifics on your Basslink install?
I am looking into adding a Basslink, but I don't have a tool to remove the head unit to see if the speaker outs are pinned and wired, even though they are unused with the Bose system. I was hoping I could tap into wires coming from the connector and run them to the back. Is that what you did? Thanks in advance

Sorry, just picked up the thread in the audio forum, but another question...
You mentioned using "appropriate female connectors" to attach to the speaker outs. Do you mean the female tab type quick disconnects you find at Radio Shack or auto parts stores? I imagined the pins to be small and thin to fit molex type connectors. And did you have a tool to remove the head unit?

I had previously posted in the Audio forum about this..
Answers:
Yes you can use the speaker level pins on the rear of the head unit. This is what I did.
You will need to get hold of some female spade connectors to tie into the HU.
Purchase an Amplifier power connection kit.
Remove the Fuses.
Run the powerwire from the engine compartment (On the driverside using the threshold to hide the wire) thru the grommet near the master cylinder..
I grounded mine @ the underside of the cargo loops utilizing a star washer for a good connection.
Run the speaker level harness on the passenger side beneath the threshold and tucked behind the rear panel.
Plug this into the basslink.
Connect the power wire to the battery
Connect the power wire to the Basslink
Plug in the fuse @ the basslink
Plug in the fuse @ the connection to the battery
Should be powered up once the radio is turned on.
Hope this helps.

I used 2 old nail files to remove my head unit.
And the smallest female connectors Radio shack had..Not perfect but they work well enough.
