Radiator fan has started to come on EVERY TIME I turn of the engine
For about two weeks now, just about every time I turn off the engine, the radiator fan comes on. Even after driving about a mile after the car was cold. Prior to that, I can't recall having heard the radiator fan since I got the car in February.
Admittedly, the temperature has been a bit above normal in the Bay Area recently, but this is occurring in the morning and at night when the outside temp. is ~60 degrees.
I've checked the oil, and it's fine. The coolant is a little below the mid-point between max. and min. but not below min.
The temperature gauge, while the car is on, has not deviated from what I consider to be its normal behavior--since I got the car, the needle usually stays a tick below the mid-point, rarely goes to the mid-point, and has never gone above the mid-point.
So, any thoughts on the problem? I'm going to make an appointment with the dealer, but I wanted to find out if the board's experts had a guess as to the cause. Thanks.
Perhaps I'll monitor a bit longer before taking it to the dealer. Thanks for the input.
