No pothole problems?
How do the 35 series ride compared to 40 or 45?
Beijing? If you get a day, take a tour to the wall. Interesting city, been there a few times. I work in Tolland, Ct about 1 hr from Boston. 3-4 inches of snow, melting rapidly, sunny and 50 tomorrow.

no, but i've bent a forged 19" bbs lm on a pothole before ...
that said, it was a crater, and even cabbies were bending their rims on it ;-)
anything can be bent. but by and large, if you get a forged 19" wheel, you will not have problems.
35-series is certainly firmer -- i like it but i like a firm ride. i'll be back in boston in a few weeks and you can drive my car and see what you think, if you want.
regarding beijing: it's a pretty wild place. i hiked the great wall for 10km from jinshanling to simatai, absolutely remarkable -- and downright scary at times (that stretch of the great wall is mostly original and is not in the best condition.)
