Default

Explore the exhaust more thoroughly, then check the heat shield. It seems I read about loose screws

Default heat shield is tight, but after seeing other borla installs>>

the resonator from mine does look like it is sitting right, mine does not sit right inside the cavity but off to the left alittle. The way the hanger was it couldnt sit all the way up there. But I dont think that is hitting anything anyway, since there is no marks on the pipe.

Is your rear hatch tight. The latch comes loose on mine.

Default I've had this for ages, and might have just fixed it this weekend ...

I tried everything else under the sun.

The torque spec on the rear shock bolt (against body) is supposed to be ~44 ft lbs ... I replaced the bolt last year, but still had the noise.

Per a post by QS, I investigated whether there was nough room in there to get a washer. There wasn't, but the top of the shock did have enough play once I removed the bolt to suggest it might cause the popping sound from the rear.

I decided to torque the bolt to ~90 ft lbs, and I think the noise is gone. I'll know more as I drive the car this week.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1498040.phtml
